Horizon Mission Pilots presentations

During the WIRE DAY, 2 Horizon Mission pilots and 1 - student pilot presented their preliminary findings all contributing to the Horizon mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030.

Célia Quico (LU) talked about her research ‘Infamous Shipwrecks’ on understanding if and how XR can increase ocean literacy among specific audiences while telling stories about Infamous Shipwrecks.

“Water as Time” is a collaboration between four WIRE partners to create exhibition works reflecting on the impact of time on water, its relation to it and the narratives.

PhD-student Agnes Meng (LU) presented her research: Immersive viewing, sharing, and reflecting on the river ecosystem preservation through an intangible cultural heritage approach. The final product will be a short documentary and installation on a threatened Portuguese river.
