ECLOSION
Video Installation - immersive experience
Abstract
ECLOSION is an immersive interactive installation that explores the threshold between life and decay, impermanence and the ephemeral. Through the parallel stories of a ruined building and the brief, luminous life of the mayfly (ephemeroptera), An insect that transforms itself only to die a few hours after hatching, the artwork questions transformation, impermanence, and the cycles that unite all living beings.
Projected in a 360-degree space and activated by movement and sound, ECLOSION responds to the presence in the room. The final metamorphosis of the mayfly, jawless and in search of a mate, becomes a dance towards death, unfolding against the backdrop of slowly disappearing ruins, evoking the fragility of everything we seek to preserve.
At once disturbing and contemplative, the installation becomes a space where ruin and rebirth coexist, where death feeds life and where the human impulse to build confronts the silent force of nature for change.
