On 20 November 2026, University Lusófona will host LIVROBOLUS | LUSÓFONA XX.XXI.MMXXVI, an event celebrating the launch of two books on immersive media and creative production:
Media Imersivos: pensar e produzir a partir de um país periférico
Immersive Shipwrecks: for future memory
The event will feature presentations by José Bragança de Miranda and Manuel José Damásio, alongside demonstrations of 360° videos, virtual reality experiences and an inflatable planetarium.
Immersive Shipwrecks is a WIRE by FilmEU seed-funded project exploring how immersive technologies, including virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), can contribute to ocean literacy.
Through stories of historic shipwrecks along Europe's coastline, the project brings together artistic research, scientific knowledge and immersive storytelling to raise awareness of the ocean's past and future, including the impacts of climate change.
