The National Contact Point Department for EU Research Programmes (DKPK NCBR) in Poland, together with Czech, Portuguese, and Romanian NCPs, will host the International Information Day “European Excellence Initiative (EEI): general conditions, practical information, project presentation” on 29 September 2025, online via MS Teams.
The event is aimed at potential applicants of the EEI call (HORIZON-WIDERA-2025-01-ACCESS-01, Horizon Europe) and all stakeholders interested in the Widening dimension of the WIDERA Work Programme.

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn from ongoing EEI projects across Europe, including the WIRE project – Widening Innovation + Research Excellence in FilmEU.
WIRE will be presented by its coordinator, Prof. Manuel José Damásio, who also leads the FilmEU European University Alliance.
WIRE (2024–2027) aims to strengthen research and innovation excellence within FilmEU, focusing on capacity-building activities, international networking, and reinforcing collaboration with industry, cultural and creative sectors. By bridging gaps across institutions and regions, WIRE contributes to the goals of the European Excellence Initiative, ensuring that research excellence and innovation capacity are widely shared across Europe.
