The full programme for the WIRE Summit 2025 is live!

The summit will showcase artistic research methodologies, creative practice, and innovations in practice-based research across the FilmEU alliance, featuring compelling keynotes, project showcases, and the Artistic Research Exhibition 2025.

  • Keynote: Michael Schwab on "Working Expositionally" - Exploring how creative practice generates knowledge through "expositional" approaches from the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for Artistic Research
  • Keynote: Rachel Garfield on "Methodologies, practice research and all that jazz" - Examining the tensions between speculative creative practice and rigorous academic frameworks
  • Horizon Pilots Presentations: Featuring innovative projects like "Water as Time" and "Infamous Shipwrecks" that connect artistic practice with environmental awareness
  • Illumina Course: Practical workshop on drawing and sketching as research methods led by Alexandra Ianchenko
